A Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia state, Dr Ukpai Iro Ukpai has felicitated Senate Chief Whip and former Governor of Abia state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu on the Supreme Court judgment that voided his conviction at the Federal High Court and the subsequent order by a Federal High Court for his release.

While applauding the judgement, Dr. Ukpai highlighted that OUK as he is fondly called by his supporters, will resume his quality representation of his people – Abia North – in the Senate.

Further, Dr Ukpai said:

” I felicitate Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, on the Supreme Court’s vacation of the conviction and today’s order for his release. This is a gift for the new month and all of us in Abia North, and indeed Abia state are in joyous mood. You can feel it in the air! We are excited that once again our people will have access to their Senator and leading light in the Senate. I say Congratulations, Your Excellency!”
