The Nigeria Super Eagles have impressively demonstrated their will to fight it out with the host nation in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) competition being hosted in Ivory Coast after defeating South Africa in yesterday’s semifinal encounter. This impressive performance demonstrates our players’ fierce desire and readiness to compete in the finals, where there is a strong likelihood that Nigeria will win the trophy.
I am writing to express my congratulations to the Nigeria Football Federation, our brave boys, and the entire management staff for their determined and hard-working preparation for the tournament. It is an indication of their confidence, audacity, and dedication to fulfilling their responsibilities as football players and tournament organisers. Furthermore, the Super Eagles have shown that they are prepared to reclaim the lost glory of national teams with their outstanding exploits.
You are all urged to work even harder to win and, at the very least, show Nigerian pride in acknowledging the enormous sum of money that has been lost, stolen, and unaccounted for during the previous fifteen years of NFF mismanagement. Nigeria, the behemoth of Africa, has to regain its lost honour through this ongoing football competition. Your perseverance in trying to make sure that victory is attained will relieve us all.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that, as Eagles, you would soar without becoming tired; that, as Eagles, your exceptional skill compared to other birds would undoubtedly give you an advantage on the last day of competition; and that, as Eagles, you are anticipated to return home with flying colours. Again, Bravo! “More powers to your elbow”
