The National Publicity Secretary of People’s Democratic Party Youth Alliance, PDPYA, Chief Dr Emeka Kalu, has reacted to the latest news of the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Mr. Agboola Ajayi, who recently defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ascribing it to a sign of good fortunes for PDP and change of game of 2023.
In a statement personally signed by him, Dr Kalu emphasized that APC has become an “animal farm” where “all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others”, and this is the same high handedness they’ve used to keep Nigeria down since 2015.
“You cannot expect to progress when you hold everyone down and make them bow to your inordinate will in face of oppression. The crisis you witness today and the attendant defections is a sign of a center that cannot hold.
“When the Deputy Governor of a state is harassed and chased out of the Government house in the full glare of the nation, that goes a long way to tell you what had been going on inside, the intimidation and oppression he must’ve been subjected to, prior to the public attack.
“When it becomes a crime to grow ambitious because you belong to a party of War-Lords, then it is a node to join force with progressive minds and contribute your best to the growth of your nation and not serving the ego of some greedy few” he said.
Dr. Kalu called on Ondo PDP to brace up for this occasion and play the vibrant opposition by taking advantage of these developments to strengthen their resolve to get Nigeria working again by taking back power from APC, for the greater good of the people.
“We must acknowledge that golds are made pure when they pass through fire. The travails of Ajayi in Ondo APC, like Obaseki in Edo APC, is a sign that nature is repositioning events that will change the lives of the people, Providence is gathering like-minds for a great purpose of liberation and this must be taken seriously.
“PDP is a home of Democrats, it shall remain open for every progressive-minded personalities that must come together to salvage what is left of our great nation, Nigeria”, he said.
