The National Body governing the entire students of ohafia extract worldwide (NAOS), have made public their special programme beamed up for the 2019 end of the year in ohafia tagged, “OHAFIA HOME COMING AND OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AWARD 2019”. This event promises to be a one in a lifetime experience for Ohafians and the world at large.

Ohafia is a community strongly rooted in culture and traditions which has preserved the uniqueness and the cultural heritage of the people over the years. For instance, as a result of Age-Grade system of Community Self Help, Ohafia has continued to rapidly grow without actually totally being dependent on the government for provision of hospitals/health centers, basic amenities and other social responsibilities needed to progress a society.

This feat has over the years been repeated successfully in all Ohafia Clans to make ohafia the fastest growing town in Abia state in terms of economic, social and political advancement.

To appreciate these and as a means of encouraging the youths (especially students), who are expected to carry on this light from the elders in the nearest future, the Students’ Body, National Association of Ohafia Students (NAOS) have through the office of her National President Comr. Michael Idike, announced in a Press Statement duly signed by the PRO/National Publicity Secretary Comr. Amos Kalu – AFK and made available to the press on Tuesday 3rd December, 2019. That the Event and award will be memorable.

According to the release, “Ohafia Homecoming is a signature event in our community that will not only serve as an opportunity for our people to come together and rally round a common sense of communal relationship and camaraderie, but also a fantastic opportunity for us to come together and connect with our families as Ohafians in chumminess unparalleled. Homecoming is an opportunity for partners to align and bring the Ohafia community together in Celebration.

“This Homecoming tagged the “Ohafia Outstanding Performance Award 2019” will be the first of its kind since the history of Ohafia. It tends to give back to the society and aims at appreciating individuals who have truly supported the Ohafia course irrespective of the odds, especially in the areas of encouraging education of the youths through scholarships, provision of jobs, building of industries and other people oriented laudable ventures that has benefitted the students and Ohafia at Large”.

Speaking further, He explained that the selection of awardees is out of nomination by National Association of Ohafia Students stakeholders after a strong deliberation on who is being awarded in the locality and promised that the event is expected to be a pleasant experience on December 29th, 2019 in Ohafia where many families will be reunited and new spirit of friendliness and love rekindled in the life of Ohafia people.

“We request every ohafia men and women from all walks of life and across the globe to come home ready for this wholesome experience of the true spirit of Ohafia Ancient uniqueness” he concluded.
