The National Coordinator, People’s Democratic Party Coalition, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, has called on the Ondo Electorates, to as a matter of paramount responsibility to the state, to ensure they fully exercise their franchise as the state election comes up in few days from now.
In a statement made available to the press, Chief Kalu said that the time has come when Nigerians must continue to express their resolve to insist on good governance, taking a cue from the recent solidarity exibited by Edo State electorates, who did not only exercised their civil responsiblity to the state, but also defended their votes against political desperadoes as being presently displayed in Ondo State of recent.
“I am glad that INEC has taken the path of honour to continue to ensure free and fair elections where the will of the people will be upheld as their votes clount. I challenge Ondo elecrorates to rise up to this occassion.
“I am therefore appealing to Ondo electorates to go out there and vote Mr Jegede for the desired change and good governance. They should never be intimidated by any political brigandage being exibited by the incumbent. It is their right and duty to dump unfavourable leadership to embrace a progressive one, which the PDP canditate represents” he adviced.
The people of Ondo State will be going to the Polls by next Saturday to elect the man that will steer the affairs of the state for the next for years.
