Big Brother Nigeria housemate, Nini, has stated that she is scared of getting married.
The 26-year-old model talked about her marital fears while speaking with fellow housemates, Saskay and Queen, on Thursday night.
During the conversation, Saskay expressed her concerns over marriage, making references to her past relationships.
“Between last year and this year, I think I’ve received four proposals. I accepted all and right now, none is working,” she said.
Reacting, Nini also expressed her worries concerning marriage as she stated that she is not ready to settle down.
According to her, she wouldn’t mind dating a man for 10 years and have kids with him before eventually deciding to marry the man when she’s ready.
She stated that her mindset regarding marriage has caused setbacks in her past relationships as her boyfriends often see her as unserious.
She said, “nobody is more scared of marriage than I am. I’m so scared of marriage. I don’t know if it’s my mindset because it’s something I’m so scared of. It’s a bold step,” she said.
“I’m ready to take as much time. I can even date you for 10 years before we do it. I’m on that vibe. I don’t mind dating for 10 years and all my boyfriends I’ve had think I have issues and I’m unserious.
“Because I’m basically giving you this relationship, don’t try and come and propose. I’m not ready. I love them but I want to make sure everything is right.
“With everything going on in the world right now, I don’t want to rush into anything, please. I don’t have strength.”
Nini also stated that dating a man for a long time until she’s ready to marry does not mean that she would be unfaithful in her relationship.
“I can date you for 10 years. We’ll be faithful. Let’s just date and be happy and merry. I don’t mind having babies while dating. I love babies but I want to make sure that everything is right before I have mine. I love babies,” she added.
