A well-known Nollywood actress passed away, according to Mr. Emma Onyemeziem, chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Delta State chapter.

Recall that actor Clemson Cornel and Okereke were both abducted last year while they were filming in Enugu.

He claimed that the actress passed away on Wednesday morning from an unspecified illness.

Onyemeziem said that Cynthia Okereke had been taking care of her health the entire time, despite the fact that the exact cause of death has not yet been determined.

Joseph Okechukwu’s verified Twitter account also posted a message confirming the news.

“REST IN PEACE, Nwanyi oma,” he wrote. I’m beyond words, broken. One of the hardest things I’ve recently had to cope with was hearing that you went to be with the Lord only last night as I was about to pay for your travel ticket to come finish what we started.

“I hope I can bounce back from this shock. Actually, life is simply a mist. You have it one second, then you don’t. You have been such an excellent, nice, and delightful person to be around for the more than 20 years that I’ve known you.

“I never expected you to go so abruptly. I am speechless. Stay asleep, Cynthia. May your lovely soul continue to rest till we reunite in glory.

Recall that the actress and her fellow actor Clemson Cornel were abducted in Enugu last year.
