The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, has provided an explanation for why President Bola Tinubu is taking so long to announce his new cabinet members.

During a meeting with APC chairmen from around the nation on Monday in Abuja, Adamu observed that Tinubu had held lengthy consultations before making his selections.

“The president simply got going. And before announcing his picks for ministers, he conducts a thorough consultation.

The ministers will be nominated first, he said. After Mr. President has submitted them, they will go through screening until they are declared.

And Mr. President will officially name and swear in his ministers.

“Only after completing that will he reveal each of them to the nation, allowing them to determine which minister would lead whatever ministry and how many there will be overall, according to Adamau.
