When Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole left the Federal Capital Development Authority as a town planner in development control, eyebrows were raised on why a successful administrator with a proven track record would want to delve into the dynamic and “perceived” murky waters of politics, but it was his indissoluble mindset towards changing the narratives and augment his immediate constituency while contributing his quota to the development of home state of Abia,- God’s state that kept him afloat and unwavering.

Leaving trails of quintessential performance at the FCDA, it was obvious that the University of Nigeria Alumni was joining politics, not as your regular politician, but a developmental who has come to re-write the narratives and augment humanity. His first tenure as a member of the house of representatives birthed unprecedented democratic dividends in the federal constituency, it was under his quality representation that some teeming populace got to know that a member of the green chambers can attract roads, bridges, schools while empowering hundreds of youths with jobs. It was his seamless effort to rebuild anything senile and turn the Ohafia/Arochukwu federal constituency into a reconstruction site and project hub that earned him the nickname; “Mr. Project”.

Run up to the 2019 general elections in an area where the opposition claimed and bragged to hold sway, Hon. Uko Nkole’s reelection was smooth in firm testament to the fact that people of good conscience have united in support and solidarity with a recurring trailblazer, amid political affiliation. Indeed, he has done well in living up to the confidence, belief and expectations reposited on him by the people, having attained an unprecedented height of representation in the federal constituency through his numerous legislative interventions while remaining focused, accessible and eager to build on the gains recorded.

On Saturday, July 24th, 2021, stakeholders and political leaders of Arochukwu/Ohafia had stormed the Ozu-Abam residence of Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole where they passed an explicit vote of confidence on the federal lawmaker in solidarity with his giant strides and pro masses representation, stating that their brother has not only overwhelmingly delivered on his mandate, but has shown tremendous character and capacity to perform even in a bigger capacity. While lauding him for creating working feedback channels with his constituents to brainstorm on the best possible ways towards enhancing the frontiers of the federal constituency, having affirmed that such interactive session with stakeholders was rare in the representation of the Federal Constituency.

As the goodwill of Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole continues to sour, he has as a public servant defiled all odds and pecuniary permutations to surpass expectations in the green chambers, and for him, there is no slowing down. Being an ardent loyalist and supporter of the Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu led PDP administration, he remains committed to supporting the governor in actualizing his quest for a peaceful, economic, and infrastructural viable Abia.
