….. Says the family, legacies of the late politician would not be forgotten.

The member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency; Hon. Uko Nkole attended the funeral service of the late politician and philanthropist, Chief Ukpai Agwu Ukpai (Ph.D) in Asaga, Ohafia LGA.

The federal lawmaker who commiserated with the family of the deceased, the government of Abia State, people of the Ohafia LGA and the Presbyterian church of Nigeria noted that Chief Ukpai Agwu was a detribalized leader and humanitarian who was loyal, committed and result oriented to any course he was part of. While stating that the deceased Deputy Chief Of Staff (Office of the governor) was instrumental to his political sojourn.

Hon. Nkole while commiserating with all bereaved parties on the death of Chief Ukpai Agwu, which he described as a personal and colossal loss, noted that even as his demise came at a time where his vast experience and political sagacity were most needed, we cannot question the will of the almighty God.

Attending the burial in Asaga, Ohafia LGA are notable political leaders and government functionaries led by the executive Governor of Abia State; Gov. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu and wife, the deputy Governor, H.E Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu and wife, National Assembly members from Abia State extraction including the Senate minority leader, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe and member representing Aba North/South federal constituency, Hon. Chimaobi Ebisike; Speaker of the State house of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, Col. Augustine Akobundu (Rtd.) and other National and State leaders of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), reputable Clergy men including Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, party faithfuls amongst others.
