The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party in the Abia 2023 gubernatorial contest, Dr Ukpai Iro Ukpai, has congratulated Rt. Hon. Benjamin O. Kalu, member representing the good people of Bende Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, describing it as victory well deserved.

In a brief statement he personally sighed and made available to OHAFIATV News, the renowned Economist and proponent of Digital Economy in Abia State said that this new elevation is going to demand greater responsibilities, encouraging him to live up to the expectations of the people.

He also charged the Deputy Speaker not to rest on his oars as this new position of trust is going to come with new responsibilities and higher expectation from Bende, Abians, Igbo nation and the entire Nigeria.

The message read in details:

Rt Hon Ben O. Kalu,

CONGRATULATIONS
I wish to congratulate you on your emergence as the Deputy Speaker of the 10th National House of Representatives.

This is well deserved given the manner you discharged your duties as the Spokesperson of the 9th HoRep and as Rep. for Bende Federal Constituency. I hope you will not rest on your tested oars as we Abians, Igbos, and Nigerians expect a superlative performance from you and the 10th HoRep. you now lead with Dr T. Abass. Remember that Bende Federal Constituency and Abia State expect more dividends of democracy from Mr Deputy Speaker.

May God bless you and give you wisdom and bountiful grace.

Congratulations once again.
