The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Orji has urged the Muslim Ummah in Abia to continue to exhibit the love, good neighbourliness, compassion and such virtues that advance the cause of humanity as commanded by Prophet Muhammad.
In a message felicitating with the Muslims on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr the Abia Speaker also urged the faithful to remember the poor and the needy in the society and use the occasion to continue to pray for the success of the Abia State Government.
Orji further admonished them to pray for wisdom for leaders of the State and for peace, security and prosperity for the people of Abia.
The lawmaker congratulated the Muslim community in Abia State and Nigeria in general on the successful end of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
“On behalf of the Abia State House of Assembly, I wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a joyous Eid-el-Fitr”, he concluded.
Also, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, in Abia State, Innocent Nwachukwu has felicitated with Muslims on the celebration of Eld-el-Fitr.
Nwachukwu in his goodwill message urged the Muslim community to use the occasion to pray for peace in Nigeria as well as for God’s wisdom in piloting the affairs of the country amid daunting security challenges ravaging the nation.
The Party chieftain also lauded the government of Abia State for providing a conducive environment for the harmonious relationship to exist among the different religious faithful in the state.
He charged the Muslim community to continue to sustain their support for the governments at all levels given Abia a facelift in face of the state economy.
