The National Covener of People’s Democratic Party Coalition, PDPCo, Chief Dr Emeka Kalu, has expressed worries over recent fraud revelations in the management of Nigeria as a Nation, owing to the recent revelation of illegality surrounding sales of over 100million barrels of oil estimated at about $800million as replete in our national news, exposed by PointBlankNews.
In a statement he personally signed and made available to the press, Chief Kalu said that Nigeria have become a place where we wake up everyday to hear one strange news or another, this time one wonders why an administration that taunted so much about integrity and corruption fight could be employing all manners of corruption to outwit eveyone they ever accused of corruption.
“You can see what is going on with Ibrahim Magu, the man who is presumed to be the “saint” chasing the sinners. The Funtuas Kingpin is still in the pipeline, and now the men that are stealing from the treasury they swore to manage. The question now becomes, “what next for Nigeria, what hope is left?”.
Chief Kalu therefore opined that the right thing to do at this particular juncture is for President Mohammadu Buhari to resign as NNPC Director since he is not aware of what is going on under his nose, saying that this has given the same impression of many scams that Nigeria went through when Buhari was PTF Chairman under Abacha. Millions got missing but as “Mr Integrity”, he never owned up to being aware of crimes and his nose.
“While Buhari steps aside, I encourage the National Assembly to investigate the allegations as well as probe the oil sector for many irregularities associated therefrom since the administration of President Buhari”.
Chief Kalu also lamented over the irony that while men that are claiming to be fighting corruption are busy syphoning our money and looting the nation dry to service their personal luxurious lifestyle, the same people are busy borrowing away the destiny of Nigeria and future of generations unborn.
“Nigeria is in strange delinma. The annoying part is that the source of this money being looted is coming from Niger Delta that has remained the poorest part of the country. How does one explain such wickedness of man upon another man?”
“I call on everyone involved in this saga to be brought to book even as we hope that sins of Ibrahim Magu will not be swept under the carpet like others before him whose looting were compensated and forgiven with a sack”, he said.
