Speaking on Sunday at a thanksgiving service in Koroma, Rivers State, Wike expressed confidence that the coalitions his political camp has built will make the 2027 elections easy for them.
“With the forces we have, I don’t know of anyone who can challenge us,” stated Wike. As far as I can tell, it feels like 2027 is tomorrow. It is still very far away for me, but I am eager. Where is the unity between the two party leaderships—APC and PDP—when it comes to leadership? Which state? You can only locate that togetherness in Rivers.
And that’s what a lot of folks find objectionable. They find ways to keep people separated when they witness people cooperating and standing together, but since we are aware of this, we have chosen not to be split.
“This is the only state in which the opposition party will win the national assembly in an election held at the exact same hour, minute, and day as the front-runner.” That is not typical.
The minister also asked Rivers residents to support President Bola Tinubu’s national economic reforms and policies.
Wike insisted that it would not be simple to quickly turn around the country’s prospects.
“In His boundless kindness, God will never stop providing us with the strength to band together in support of Mr. President. In this country, a great deal of people rarely remember yesterday. We live in a hurry and face many challenges, but have you ever wondered how yesterday went? Decisions made by the President, if we have patience at the end of the day, we will succeed in our goals, he declared.
Among the dignitaries in attendance at the Thanksgiving service were Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, and Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly Martin Amaewhule.
