Former Arsenal midfielder, Perry Groves has ruled out Bukayo Saka’s chances of becoming the next Arsenal’s captain.
Groves pointed out that the England international is too young to be named captain at the Emirates.
Current captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was dropped from the matchday squad by the manager, Mikel Arteta due to a disciplinary breach.
Aubameyang’s actions in recent weeks have been heavily criticized with several calls for him to be stripped off the armband.
Many players are being suggested to take over the position with 19-year-old Saka also mentioned.
“It’s probably too early for Saka”, Groves told talkSPORT.
It remains to be seen whether Aubameyang is stripped of the captaincy after Arteta revealed he was dropped from the Southampton game for a disciplinary breach.
