Political stakeholders of Abia North Senatorial District, have commended Senator Orji Uzor Kalu over his commitment to growth and development through his exemplary leadership qualities of playing politics without bitterness.
The stakeholders under the aegis of Abia North Peace Foundation (ANPF), gave the commendation in a statement signed by its Deputy National Coordinator, Hon. Gabriel Idika Ukairo on Friday morning in Abuja.
According to the group, Senator Kalu should be commended by well meaning Abians for displaying political dexterity, maturity and humility despite being betrayed by people he mentored politically.
According to Ukairo, Kalu has consistently demonstrated sound leadership qualities to issues affecting Abia State, Ndigbo and Nigeria at large.
The group particularly commended the Chief Whip of the Senate for being kind to all, including those that betrayed him politically.
“Senator Kalu is a global icon, accomplished leader and manager of resources. Yesterday, during the official visit of the Senate President to Abia State, Senator Kalu demostrated capacity and maturity by showing that he plays politics without bitterness.
“He should be commended by all for his kindness and forgiving spirit. We saw in Aba that Senator Kalu is a man of honour and lover of people. Despite the provocation from some quarters, he has decided to embrace all.
“He is a lover of God and his people. You can see what is happening in Abia North, where as a Senator, he is building rural roads, empowering youths and women. Go to Ohafia, Nkporo, Igbere, Abiriba, Abam, Bende, Umuneochi, Ututu, Uturu, Alayi etc. the story is the same.
“His approach to national issues is that of an elder statesman. We commend and appreciate his leadership qualities. He shouldn’t be distracted by naysayers. We are solidly behind him,” the group said.
