Following a boat crash in Ikorodu, the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) retrieved an additional corpse from the scene. LASWA spokeswoman, Wuraola Alake, provided updates on the incident, stating that the submerged boat was also recovered.
Alake shed light on the ongoing investigation into the cause of the capsizing, refuting claims of boat racing. She highlighted discrepancies in passenger manifest filing, with some passengers only completing forms after rescue.
