The event happened at about 12: 30 pm close to the building. The automobile burnt for several minutes with no sign of any firemen.

The US Embassy had already issued a security advisory warning of an increased risk of terrorist strikes in Abuja, which contributed to the panic caused by the incident.

However, at the time this report was submitted, there were firefighters and FRSC personnel at the scene.

The situation is now back to normal after the vehicle’s wreckage was removed from the road.

Although newsmen have not been able to determine what started the fire, the event resulted in traffic jams along the Federal High Court- Transcorp Hilton Road.

The vehicle’s remains were being removed by a towing vehicle belonging to the FRSC.

The US Embassy warned of the increased threat of terrorist attacks on the city on Sunday.

The UK government has issued an alertness warning to its citizens, alleging that the attacks are targeting western interests.
