The revenge attack from the rampaging soldiers has already taken the life of one Miss Chinyere in her prime through a stray bullet.

Not satisfied, the soldiers after setting a curfew that has destabilized Ohafia for a few days, went from one corner to another, killed one youth Amaekpu, identified as IDIKA, to cut more pounds of flesh, and wounded another whose life is presently hanging in the balance. This is after the armed hoodlums have already left the scene and are possibly safe in their haven where the soldiers may know, but wouldn’t like to go to flush them out for reasons best known to them. Rather taking better comfort in killing innocent members of their host, community.

Angst by the inhuman treatment and intimidation brought upon them in their lands, the Amaekpu youths mobilized and armed themselves to resist the soldiers who on seeing their preparedness and possible outcome should other Ohafia communities decide to join their brothers in defense of their land, the soldiers retreated to the comfort of their barracks.

At the time of filing this report, OHAFIA TV News learned that some intelligence Officers of the Military force are consulting with Ebem and Amaekpu youth leaders, Ezie Ogo in council, Development Union Presidents, and other Ohafia leaders to end the crisis and prevent it from escalating further.

Once again, the Nigerian Military has proven to be good at killing innocent and unarmed citizens whom they took an oath to defend. A clear case of a Dog that eats bones hung around its neck.
