As the 2023 political contest continues to gather momentum with its surprises, permutations, expectations and intrigues, a sign that the 2023 contest will not be a walk in the park for any political party, or business as usual.

Mr. Kalu Emeghe, fondly called CHIDERA, has today 13th April 2022, picked the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to run for office as a Member of the Abia State House of Assembly representing the good people of Ohafia South State Constituency of Abia State on the Platform of the ALL PROGRESSIVES GRAND ALLIANCE (APGA).

Kalu, a Seasoned Politician and an experienced player in the game attended the following educational institutions: Fountain School, Lagos; Air Force Military School, Jos; University of Jos,  graduating with a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Sociology in the 1992/93 Session. He also attended the  University of Port Harcourt (Centre for Continuing Education) earning a Certificate in Computer Operations and The Abia State University where he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) and Master of Science (M.Sc) Degree in Public Administration. He has also attended several Workshops and Seminars in Governance and Administration.

Between 1994 and 2010, Kalu worked as Sales Executive; Business Development Officer; and General Manager at Metropolitan Telecommunications Company, Lagos; Firstson Finance Ltd, Lagos and OMTC Ltd (Freighters), Port Harcourt respectively.

His Public Office Experience has seen him serve as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Local Government Liaison and Youth Affairs; Co-ordinator, Abia State Youth Empowerment Programme for Abia North Senatorial Zone and Technical Assistant to Director-General of the Abia State Bureau of Public Procurement.
He also served as Commissioner in the Local Government Service Commission of Abia State.

Kalu, a Community and Political Leader with a grassroots touch has empowered and employed several youths by leveraging on the various positions held so far.

Mr Kalu Emeghe, a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration (FCAI), a Doctoral Student and a Justice of Peace, JP, is married to Dr Nnenna Emeghe and blessed with Children.

He comes with a wealth of experience in Politics and Administration that will ensure quality representation for Ohafia South State Constituency.
