IN 2014, I was moved to search for a possible replacement of the seeming dearth of true for the IGBO LEADERSHIP Question in Nigeria.

Seven years on, my searchlight is still beaming over the entirety of the IGBO NATION, hovering to eck out a true Servant-Leader of NDI-IGBO, with perhaps, a near-free unblemished.

Posterity is not an abstract tool of judgement. It is a standing, indestructible virtue of a sacred height and base.

In chronicling the good servant-leaders bestowed on NDI-IGBO, especially from the second republic era, very few notable personalities surfaced without a search:

• Chief Alex Ekwueme
• Chief Barr. Sam O. Mbakwe
• Ocbiagha Ebitu Ukiwe
• Chief Kalu Idika Kalu
• Chief Dr. Chuba Okadigbo (with some minus points anyways)
• Dr. Chu Okongwu

These represented some of the IGBO finest. The tide of time eroded their presence, but posterity shall continue to exude their pedigrees of fine leadership and commitment to better the lots of NDI-IGBO.

Servant-leader is the very best of personality. It cuts across boundaries and slices through the fabrics of ticking time.

The Grand Master of them all was/is Dim (IKEMBA) Chukwuemeka ODUMEGWU-OJUKWU (The EZE IGBO GBURUGBURU).

He was not flawless. He had his errors. But he remained at the apex/zenith pinnacle of the TRUER IGBO SERVANT-LEADER.

THE LIKES OF ÒSOWA Chief Dr Nnamdi Binyamin AZIKIWE (THE OWELE of ONICHA), DR. AKANU FRANCIS IBIAM, DR. M.I. OKPARA, ALVAN IKOKU and so on belonged to the original and earlier levels. And they remain the GREAT IROKOS of our history and heritage.

Now, back to the NOW, NOW and NOW, MR. PETER OBI, has consistently remained the very best of an ASSET of SERVANT-LEADERSHIP icon in the entire IGBO-LAND.

Failure of our people to adopt him as the reincarnate of the men aforementioned most probably will stand to redefine, if not question our ‘acclaimed’ intelligence Claim.

In no special order, my great brother and friend, SENATOR ENYINNAYA ABARIBE rank next in my unbiased assessment.

OCHIAGHA EBITU UKIWE will always create warmth in my heart of hearts, for his rugged and exemplary display of truer IGBO PRINCIPLE and consciousness years back and counting. OKO, I salute sir!

Professor Chinualumuogu ACHEBE, the African Literary IROKO, remain one of the unblemished IGBO HERITAGE, had he ventured into pure governance. The OKE-OSISI, rest on as you still live on.

Now, to my primary object and subject of this little contribution: PETER OBI – THE OKWUTE NDI-IGBO, it is high time you came out and declare for the PRESIDENCY of this country. We shall mobilise the IGBO DIASPORA in the six(6) continents of the global Earth to support your ascendency because you are meritorious of it.
You can carry the mantle of the truer IGBO SERVANT-LEADER.

The dearth of a truer IGBO LEADER is voided in your presence. You cannot play the second-position fiddle anymore!
