In the meantime, our great Party, PDP has been undergoing a series of difficulties caused by individual ambitions and leadership crisis of which several emergency meetings have been held to resolve them.
Today, there is a dim light of harmony and unity perceived to be radiating on the face screen of the party. Our thanks go to the party BOT, National Executive Committee, NWC, PDP Governors Forum, PDP National Assembly Caucus, Chieftains, Youths, Women Wings and all the layers of the party for their rescue commitment to ensure PDP stands tall amid adversities.
The party has also constituted various reconciliation committees to ensure all the backlashes are addressed and overcome. That’s Wonderful indeed! Kudos to all the Stakeholders.
In the face of all these travails, People Democratic Party Coalition (PDPCO) is of the view and humbly asking all the aggrieved parties and warring factions to embrace peace and work in common unity to win and return the victory trophy to the party as expected by Nigerians in 2023 general elections.
We hereby call for peace, unity and resolidification as Senator David Mark-led Reconciliation Committee continues to consult, interact and interface with all persons concerned to embrace peace by dropping all litigations and assemble under one umbrella for concerted mobilization, re-strategizing and mass movement for 2023 political outing.
Recall that Prince Uche Secondus, the embattled National Chairman of the party has yesterday been suspended by his Ward 5 in Andoni, LGA of Rivers State as well as the State Chapter of the party. In the midst of all these fracases, we call on all the stakeholders of the party to support the efforts and drives of Senator Mark’s Committee to settle things amicably which Will be a driving force that would enable PDP to cruise home with an Olive Branch in 2023.
Let us be properly reminded that this party has a lot of in-house jobs to do in the face of the prevailing situation in Nigeria today. It is not time for rifts and divisiveness rather we should gather every energy in us to ensure we win this fast nearing Anambra guber election which would go a long way in positioning the party for 2023; We should be talking about how best to conduct a free and fair National Elective Convention slated for 30 & 31st 0ctober,2021 whose successful outcome will give the party 95% Distinction position for 2023; A Convention that would elect capable, committed and purpose-driven officers to man the affairs of the party; A fresh NWC Members whose zeal, ideology and leadership quotients are bound to give the party victory totality across the polity in 2023; A new National Working Committee with a deep sense of loyalty, ethnic/sentiment free and selfless spirit, ready to work assiduously for the glory of the party.
The way forward is the way to embrace peace and allow the interest of the party to override that of the individual members of the party; The way forward is building a tall fence against inter-party wrangling, unappealing mud sling, double-crossing, treachery, calumny, and falsehood; It is working towards mending the broken walls, flatting the tires of greed and desperation by enabling every loyal member of this party an opportunity to contribute his or her own sincere quotas for speedy party redemption.
No kingdom remains stronger in the midst of internal strife. So PDP beloved members must not be at a dagger’s drawn with one another if the party would stand and succeed.PDP Coalition as an umbrella platform of strength mobilization reiterates without equivocation that it is time to let go and prepare for the greater jobs ahead which are the main reasons Nigerians in this trying time of hunger and insecurity believe in our party to be their salvager and ” REAL CHANGE” giver. This party must be conscious of the fact that Nigerians are looking up to her for help, transformation and deliverance from the shackles and yokes of misrule dangling their necks since 2015 to date. Caution is paramount here, for this is no other country we have than this very Nigeria and it would be nice that the hands expected by the wailing public to dry their tears are the ones fuming grounds that increase their sorrow. United we stand, for there is no room for division or divisiveness that could let us down.
PDP, Power to The People!
