Unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked a Secondary School in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State and abducted an unspecified number of students.

OHAFIA-TV News gathered through a DailyPost report that the incident occurred on Wednesday morning when the abductors stormed the school premises with sophisticated weapons.

Details of the incident remain sketchy as of press time.

When contacted for reaction, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu premised to inquire and revert.

However, according to reports, the gunmen invaded the school at about 11:30 am when the students were writing examinations.

Like other states in the country, particularly the north, Zamfara has witnessed a surge in insecurity recently as bandits continue to attack schools and kidnap students for ransom.
