Our attention has been drawn to a brief communique written by people who call themselves Elders of Ukwa la Ngwa and held a meeting at Okpuala Ngwa and affirming their resolve that the Governorship ticket of Abia State for the forthcoming Governorship election in 2023 must be zoned to the Umunneato of the Abia Central comprising Isiala Ngwa North, Isiala Ngwa South and Osisioma Ngwa. And that no Ukwa la Ngwa son or daughter will accept the position of Deputy Governorship from any Abia North candidate who are the legitimate beneficiaries of the Abia Governorship 2023 in line with the Abia Charter of equity propunded by our founding fathers of Abia.
The ABIA NORTH POLITICAL PROJECTS 2023, the Political think tank of the peace loving People of Abia North wish to state as follows:
- The people that held that meeting are not the elders of Ukwa la Ngwa.
- The real elders of Ukwa la Ngwa are the custodians of the charter of equity which is clearly rotational and Ukwa la Ngwa is presently enjoying the dividends of it.
- The real elders of Ukwa la Ngwa knows the danger and implications of violating the rotational Abia Charter of Equity.
- The real elders of Ukwa la Ngwa knows the implications of crossing ancient boundaries which even the holy Bible admonished us against.
- The peace loving people of Abia North supported Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph. D in achieving his 2 terms( Ukwa la Ngwa turn) aspiration of becoming the governor of Abia State. It is therefore incumbent on him to support the Abia North people in realizing their turn in the rotational arrangement.
- Let it be known that the peace loving people of Abia North will resist any attempt to deny them of their turn to produce the next Governor of Abia State through any funny misinterpretation of the Charter of Equity.
This group hereby warn anybody, institution or group making unguarded utterances in the public or media concerning who succeeds Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D. It is left for the Abia North people whose turn it is to produce the next Governor that should worry themselves on who is best fit for the position for the overall progress of Abia State.
Thank you.
Dr. Uduma Nnate.
