Being the maiden National Youth Day in Nigeria as approvrd and declared by President Muhammadu Buhari that every 1st of November, 2020; this really calls for concerted sober reflection by all Nigerian youths to concretely define our pathway towards ensuring robust growth, peace, justice, economic development and succinct democratic dividends in Nigeria.
Nigerian Youths had been raped and vandalized by Unjustly by Nigerian System, Presidency must avert possible crises and reoccurrence of Endsars Protests which might inevitable if Politicians fails to see the Endsars Protests as a Wake up call to restructure Nigeria and accomodate the Youths in Governance.
Federal Government should liase with State Governments to liaise and revamp moribund industries in 36 States to create wealth for the Youths in 6 Geo Political Zones, there should Youth empowerment programmes in Agriculture for the Northern Youths, e-Commerce and ICT training for the Southwest Youths, SME grants and soft loans for Southeast Youths and Entertainment and Talent Training Camps in South South.
At 60, our nation aught to be among the first nation of the world’s largest economy, but the reverse is the case, no thanks to the cancerous cells of corruption that has eaten deep into the entire fabrics of the nation, leaving behind on daily basis tales of woes, cries and agony however, we must equally appreciate the Federal Government’s efforts towards salvaging the imminent total breakdown of law and order following the massive lootings and destructive tendencies that ravaged the country.
In bid to rescue the nation, the leadership of Nigeria Youth Organization with Coalition of Southern Groups hereby notify the Federal Government to commit more resources into youth development and ending poverty, insecurity, unemployment and dreaded disease called corruption.
As part of agenda for the National Youth Dialogue are:
Fundamental restructuring in governance structure and positive economic development.
We further seek the enactment of the. National Youth Right Act, which shall escapulate all major interests of the youths and noble development.
We equally call for the establishment of the National Youth Development Commission, National Community Development Commission, National Restructuring Affairs Commission, National Plebiscites and Referendum Commission and Police and Youth Relation Committee.
This and many more will be discussed at the dialogue table, while we implore the Federal Government to include mediators like His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ooni of Ife, Obi of Onitsha, His Majesty, Igwe Alfred, Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alh. Abubakar Sa’ad 111, Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, Wife of The President, Dr. Mrs. Aisha Buhari, Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah, all whom are highly respected and expected to serve as meditators for ensuring peaceful dialogue, as being raised by President Muhamnadu Buhari during his liv presidential broadcast on #Endsars protest.
