- Council Boss to School Authorities and Ndi Eze
The Transition Committee Chairman, Arochukwu LGA, Mazi Jideofor Kanu has called for all hands to be on deck to facilitate the protocols for re-opening of schools for exit classes. Mazi Jideofor Kanu made this call to school administrators while on an inspection visit to schools in Ututu, Ihechiowa and Abam clans.
The Council boss Commended Community leaders and youths for swiftly answering the call of Government to assist schools in the cleanup exercise to ensure the safety of school children on resumption.
Mazi Jideofor also emphasized on the need for schools to provide Sick bays, spacious classrooms, hand washing buckets and sanitizers. He informed school administrators that fumigation of schools will commence immediately.
The Schools inspected include: Ututu Town School, Ututu Community Primary School, Ututu Central School 1 and 2.
Ihechiowa clan: Ihe Central School, Ndi Okpo Primary School, Umunnabuo Community Primary School 1 and 2.
Abam clan: Omukwu Ukpai Community Primary School, Central School Ozu Abam, Okweji Memorial School, Amaeke Central School, Ndị Okorie Community Primary School.
The entourage later met with Ndi Eze Ogo Abam Onyerubi who were already in a meeting at Ndi Ememe. They thanked the Governor for his efforts to see that schools are re-opened saying that the students have stayed too long at home.
Ndi Eze Ogo pledged to mobilize more youths to see that all schools are ready before fumigation takes place. They prayed and thanked God for the quick recovery of the State Governor, Dr. Victor Okezie Ikpeazu and his resumption of office.
The Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties and Joint Projects, Chief John J. Okoro, TC Councillors and the Media accompanied the T.C. Chairman on the tour.
