….Calls for Prayers for the country
The member, House of Representatives, Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole, has felicitated with Muslims in Abia State and in the country as they join other Muslims around the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-kabir.
In a press statement made available to newsmen, Nkole urged the Muslim faithfuls to see the festival as a moment for sober reflection and prayers for peace, unity, progress and stability of the country.
The federal lawmaker opined that it is only through love for one another and commitment to peace, security and stability that our country can progress.
“As you celebrate this year’s Eid-el-kabir, it is important that you remember to pray for God’s intervention as the world is being ravaged by the COVID-19 pandemic” .
The political leader in Arochukwu LGA strongly urged his constituents and Abians in general to be vigilant and keep observing all precautionary measures outlined by the NCDC, while also expressing optimism that the world will soon overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, extolled the efforts and sacrifices of the front line Health workers who have dedicated their lives in saving the lives of others.

I congratulate the Muslim faithful and Nigeria as a whole as we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.
“I believe the prayers of the faithful can attract the peace and healing our country needs”, he concluded.
