There comes a time in the history of every people, every nation and every clime, when the good men and women of goodwill must make themselves available as vessels for emancipation, change (true), and liberation of the entirety of their kind.
Such times takes strong decisions, resolves and great sacrifices that transcends beyond the facades of propaganda, greed, self aggrandizement and intrigues of “Poli-Tricks” that had of late characterised the political ideology of Nigeria of late. The very wrong notion that you must affect lives only when you need votes in return. But there’s always a ray of light at the end of every tunnel.
There has always been this permutation in the political space as many pundits has continued to predict that 2023 is going to be a moment of reflection, intrigues and revolution in the political history of Nigeria. We must agree that, based on recent developments, Nigerians are ready to face realities of either emancipating themselves in 2023 or face posible extinct as a people. And this wave, this revolution goes beyond the trajectory of party affiliation and rest on individuals.
As a matter of fact, this is time to search for men to lead from wherever they may be domiciled. Nigeria needs leaders with intent to serve and men has risen to the occasion.
Rev Dan Imo has of recent shown tenacity, zeal and preparedness to sacrifice all for the greater good of the people.
By extension, many politicians see politics as investment opportunity where they put in and reap double, but men like RDI see politics as a medium where they can put in the fortune they’ve already built in life, abroad, put in what is due to the people, and then put in the life they can live to be grateful for a tomorrow, a future.
A trained Reverend Gentleman with many years experience in giving hope to the forlorn, the downtrodden, and the hopeless. An accomplished USA based business magnet with track record of accomplishments to wit. The President of Ohafia National Organization, USA, a group that have within the Coronavirus pandemic challenge period espended over approximation of N6million in cash both individually and collectively.
This is out of the strong conviction of Rev Dan Imo that one do not necessarily need to be in power or have access to government funds before you could make meaningful impact in the lives of the people. He always walk the talk.
This statement coming from Mrs. Nwanna Eke Obuba
Co-chairman, OHAFIA BASED COVID-19 PALLIATIVE INDEPENDENT OVERSEERS, ( for ONO) summed it up:
“GRATITUDE: We want to take this opportunity to thank you-our sons and daughters in the USA for your concern for your kins back home at this critical period. In fact ,”asiri aka hani elege apata, ekwesi ha o wuru anyi niga unu ife” considering the fact that the pandemic is more active in the USA. We have been praying to God Almighty that Covid-19 will never go near any of you again. It stopped at the two it had already taken in the name of Jesus, Amen !
“The bags of rice you sent down to Ohafia for sharing are gifts (ife anitu anitu). Every Ohafia person resident in every corner of every village in Ohafia is happy with ONO. Anyi si unu emele. Kaniwo!” Her statement concludes.
In a similar gesture, ONO saw it pragmatic and paramount that the less privileged of the society are not left out of the scheme of things, premising his stance on the reality that a good leader must stand in for both the reached and the unreached, always ready to defend the defenseless. In this light therefore, ONO extended their hands to motherless babies’ Home Asaga with palliatives and cash donations as well as to Project Comfort, Ohafia, a group that careter for handicapped and physically challenged children in our society.
Indeed, it is said that the test of the Puree is in the eating.
