A PDP Chieftain and DG of Global Initiative for Good Governance (GIGG), Chief Emeka Kalu, has commiserated with President Mohammed Buhari GCFR as well as the Nigeria community and the family or the diseased over the death of his Chief of Staff and father, Mallam Abba Kyari.
In a statement signed his aide on Media and Publicity, Comr Amos Kalu, and made available to the press, Chief Kalu extolled the commitment and vigor with which Abba Kyari served Nigeria under Buhari, recalling that he met his death abroad while representing Nigeria at a meeting with Siemens in search of sustainable power supply to all Nigerians.
In a press statement issued from the Presidency and signed by Garba shehu, Abba kyari reportedly died yesterday due to complications resulting from coronavirus infections.
“I recieved the new of his death with rude shock because it came at a time when the nation was given every assurance that he was responding to treatment against COVID-19 induced symptoms.
“Therefore suddenly hearing of his death has brought us back to the reality we face as a result of Coronavirus, which I call on Nigerians to respect the instructions issued by the Presidency and state governments of the importance to stay indoors and observe all precautionary measures to keep ourselves ssfe” he said.
Chief Kalu also buttressed the inevitability of death as a price we all must pay and therefore advice Nigerians not to rejoice or glory in the death of a fellow human no matter the opinion you hold of him as death is the ultimate price we all must pay.
“I condole with the Presidency for such a great loss, also Nigerians and his immediate family.
“I pray God to repose his soul and grant him eternal rest and good rewards for all his services to our nation Nigeria”.
