The Director General, Global Initiative for Good Governance, Chief Dr Emeka Kalu has expressed joy and confidence at the manner Nigerians have reacted by coming together as one family to fight the Coronavirus Pandemic through various efforts aimed at complimenting governments at both federal and state governments level to confront the monster threatening to shut down the world.

He expressed better confidence that the result achieved in containing Coronavirus spread in Nigeria through collective efforts and dedication is a sign that there’s is good hope that Nigeria will be strong again after the trying time as there still exist, men and women who have the wherewithal to carry on the banner of a prosperous Nigeria of our dream.

He thanked every philanthropists, companies, individuals, captains of industries, Foundations and NGOs who showed love in great measure to support the weak and indigent amongst us. Only love for fatherland could’ve encouraged that. Chief Kalu therefore said no one should relent as the war is not over.

Reacting to the visiting Chinese Doctors, Chief Kalu said that Nigeria and China had been in bilateral relationship for a long time and appeal to Nigerians that since the Chinese are already here, we should give them the benefit of doubt and pray that everything turn out good, believing that our federal government in their wisdom would know exactly why this is important at the moment.

The reality of hunger occasioned by lockdown is still a matter for worry even as the government officials are being accused of mismanaging the palliative donations made, but says that Nigeria will still live through it as they have lived through more difficult times.

Chief adviced Nigerians to continue to obey the lockdown order no matter how hunger pushes because only when you are alive that you kill talk about what to eat.
