The Presidential Candidate of the APU Party and one of the favorite contenders in the upcoming Guinea-Bissau General Election, Engr Nuno Nabiam, has continued to make a case for the need to make projections that must usher in the young nation into a brighter and more promising future that will be built on collective participation of every member of the country through a more proactive, pragmatic and participatory-inclusive government premised on people-oriented policies to get all hands on deck, salvage the nation ravaged and plundered in the past by politics of high-handedness and ineptitude.

Recall that the United States of America Trained Engineer had in 2014 braced the political landscape of Guinea-Bissau like a storm as a Single Candidate with the support of late former President Kumba Yala, where he finished second in the second round scoring 40% against the most popular party’s 60%, a feat he is expected to repeat in 2019 with a better result, haven not just formed a strong party, but had successfully entered into a coalition with other political parties with the same ideologies as their sole candidate. These are people whose unalloyed loyalty and support cannot be overemphasized, the chief aim being to salvage and restore Guinea-Bissau by putting her back on the path of successful growth, stability, reconciliation, resuscitation, and sustainability.

In furtherance of his mission mantra of a paradigm shift in the status quo of political ineptitude and in line with his promise to fight for the enduring change in the management of the affairs of the nation, Engr. Nuno Nabiam had embarked on a personal-consultative and diplomatic tour of many nations around Africa of which Nigeria was his destination in the past few weeks. While in Nigeria, the Presidential hopeful seized every opportunity to tell his people back home that he stands with them and has come to share political knowledge with Nigeria which he believes has surmounted many political challenges as a large nation and still stands on the path of progressive and positive democracy, a legacy he said should be emulated and translated into the life wire of Guinea Bissau for sustainable development.

Some of the political juggernauts he had strategic meetings with included, Alhaji Ibrahim Shekarau, former Governor of Kano State and present Senate Member representing Kano Central in the Red Chambers, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, former Senate President and Secretary to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator MAO Ohuabunwa, former Senate Member representing Abia North, Senator Uche Ekwenife and other top politicians of repute. The collective exchange of ideas is an experience he assured will benefit the Republic of Guinea-Bissau in the nearest future as he will not end here, but will continuously consult associates, and pally with Nigeria and other African countries, cum foreign countries when he becomes the president.

In his words: “We have seen our YESTERDAY, and we must not duel in their mistakes and follies, we must focus on our TOMORROW to right all the wrongs of yesterday and we must do our best to have a date with POSTERITY when the generations to come with a point at us and say “Our Fathers Did All These” and we must be careful to do only the right things so that history will write our names in the SANDS OF TIME after Guinea Bissau must have become the future, tomorrow for which we dreamed today”.

While speaking during his visit to Senator Mao Ohuabunwa in his Abuja residence, Engr Nuno Narrated why he got the support of Ex-President Yala after convincing him to retire from active politics with Germaine reasons that the old leaders that have achieved a lot for Africa should as a matter of patriotism retire and hand over to a younger generation that will consolidate and improve on the legacies they have built.

As a man that never leaves any stone unturned, Engr. Nuno also seized the opportunity to hold a serious talk with the Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to Nigeria, Jon Tong Chol, where matters of economic, diplomatic, and technological relationship were discussed as one of the panaceas to ensuring even and target-oriented development in this era of world development-driven my information and technology.
