Amos Oge KaluThe continuous attack on Former Nigeria’s Vice President and PDP 2019 Presidential hopeful, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has gone to extent that Obasanjo should be told the truth, he is corrupt and should leave Atiku alone.
In a telephone chat with Pressmen from his United States of America base, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, the Director-General of Atikulated Agenda 2019, a pressure organization that has taken it upon herself to ensure mobilization of Nigerians to the grassroots towards the realization of Atiku Abubakar becoming the next Nigeria President to enable him to use his wealth of experience to redirect Nigeria to the path of progress from the present economic mismanagement, decay, recession and political deterioration.
Recall that Obansajo has on the platter of personal vendetta severally picked on Atiku as a target for character assassination in an incessant effort to frustrate Atiku’s presidential ambition. Maybe because he believes that Atiku will one day expose his numerous crimes against the Nigerian State, or probably jail him if he becomes the Nigerian President.
Obasanjo always jump on Atiku at any slight opportunity, calling him names whereas he, Obasanjo is the most corrupt Nigerian alive. Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has severally opined that Obasanjo should be languishing in jail instead of working as a free man. He openly accused Obasanjo of indirectly selling Nigeria to himself at no cost and so shouldn’t speak when issues of corruption and corrupt leaders is discussed.
This endless effort to scuttle Atiku’s presidential ambition is borne out of retaliation for Atiku’s role in truncating Obasanjo’s third term bit to continue looting Nigeria after serving two terms, an action that would’ve amounted to rape on the democracy we all worked very hard to entrench in 1999.
It would’ve been insane that a man like Obasanjo would be drafted from the prison to become Nigeria’s president only for him to attempt a democratic coup against the Nigerians that gave him the opportunity, and so Nigerians should not stand by and watch Obasanjo continually vent his frustration on Atiku for standing against overblown personal interest that would have brought anarchy to Nigeria.
A man with skeletons in his closet should not be too proud and bold to quickly point at another man even when his has nothing to prove.
Alhaji Akitu Abubakar has severally challenged both past and present governments to take him to court if they have found anything on his person and till date nobody has done so. The question becomes: “If nobody has found Atiku guilty on any grounds, if there’s no case against Atiku in any court, who is Obasanjo then to continually prosecute Atiku on media? Enough is enough” he cautioned.
