South Africa coach Hugo Broos praised Super Eagles player Ademola Lookman before the Bafana Bafana’s semifinal match with Nigeria at the AFCON in Ivory Coast.

Nigeria overcame Angola 1-0 and South Africa beat Cape Verde 2-1 on penalties on Saturday to go to the semi-finals. Wednesday at Bouaké’s Stade de la Paix will see tackles between the nations.

Nigeria have been improving since their 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea in their first group encounter, Broos said.

The coach named Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman Nigeria’s best players who can make a difference.

After the win over Cape Verde, Broos told reporters, “Nigeria is a team who became better and better every game, so when I saw them playing, it’s again a very good team with a very good striker.

There are also a few good players like Lookman, who scored the goal, so we have to analyse more today than we did at the time.”
