GAZA CITY NOVEMBER 22: Israel and Hamas reached an agreement on a humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Qatar announced on Wednesday. A number of Palestinian women and children imprisoned in Israeli prisons will be exchanged for the release of fifty civilian women and children who were held as hostages in Gaza as part of the agreement.
More aid shipments from USAID have arrived in Egypt to enter Gaza, the White House said on X after the announcement.
According to a statement from Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the combat halt will likely last for an additional four days. It was said that a 24-hour notice would be given before the stoppage began.
According to the statement, in exchange for Palestinian women and children being imprisoned in Israeli jails, 50 civilian women and children who are now being held in Gaza will be released. The announcement did not specify the number of Palestinians who will be freed.
