Our attention has been brought to the fruitless efforts of some scrupulous elements to paint Hon Ebin Kalu Orji (aka Chief Obia Kalu) black over some recent worrisome developments in his community involving some questionable characters, a matter that is already under full investigation by the DSS and relevant authorities.

It is worthy of note to state unequivocally that at no point did the investigation mention him to be involved in the wicked attempt on the life of his brother Hon. Udonsi Agwu Kalu (popularly known as Udoeze). Rather he was among those that helped in gathering intel that the security agencies are using to investigate the ugly incident to its logical conclusion. One then wonders why some groups of naysayers will see others’ pain as a tool to score cheap political goals.

To prove that the purpose of the detractors is to defame, they go by the unfounded name of “Concerned Citizens”, without a face.
We advise them to show true concern by not prejudicing ongoing investigations by authorities just to pull one man down. Political ambition should not be fought or expressed by pulling the next man down to stand, Instead by working harder to improve your acceptability by the people as leaders are ordained by God.

Chief Ebin Kalu Orji is an astute politician with a focus on the future who will not like to be distracted by cheap blackmail from those who see him as a threat to their political aspirations. The authorities should be allowed to do their job and reveal the mystery surrounding Udoeze’s ordeal.
