The national leadership of Ndi Ibe Ohafia Development Union, NDU, Sunday, declared their support for Chief Kalu Idika Okwara ahead of the 2023 governorship election in Abia State.

They declared their support after a meeting they held at the residence of Dr. Ndukwe Idika. Kalu idika Okwara, a renowned Administrator, told them that he would contest under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Idika Okwara said he decided to consult the town union and formally inform them of his decision to join the governorship race.

Idika Okwara was accompanied during the visit by some aides of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu among other dignitaries.

Kalu Idika Okwara stated during the interaction that, “I have come to inform you first of my aspiration to become the next governor of Abia State.

“I am here because you are my people. After you, I can now tell others. I want you to know that I’m strongly in the race and fully prepared for the contest. I need your blessings to win.”

The Union commended Kalu Idika Okwara for the declaration, and assured him of their support for him.
