It was an electrifying atmosphere at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria located at No.1 Azikiwe Road in Aba, Abia state, during the special service and welcoming of the Abia born chemical scientist, Mr Ijomah Kalu Ukeh, an ardent contestant for the Lion House, Abia seat of authority in 2023; into the church.

Speaking to the congregation after the sermon titled “this nonsense must stop”, and after receiving an “award of honour” from the church, the pragmatic leader, technocrat and chemical scientist used the opportunity to reiterate his commitment to pursue a holistic and people-oriented administration that will redefine democracy and usher in even development that will tackle unemployment, insecurities and social vices that has become a norm in our present-day Abia State, thanking the church for finding him fit to bestow upon him such a prestigious award.

Mr Kalu Ijomah Ukeh further used the opportunity to re-echo and harp on the subject that “this nonsense must stop in Abia state.” He vehemently spoke on the need to revitalize the traditional agricultural sector in Abia state into a modernised industrial agricultural enterprise in other to increase the Internally Generated Revenues of Abia state, create employment and navigate Abia State towards self-sufficiency and economic turnaround.

He emphatically buttressed that for “this nonsense in Abia state to stop”, that “our mindset has to change” to accommodate the true change that is only possible through political reorientation, economic realignment via the harnessing of endless potentials, insisting that we can do it in Abia state with the right political will.

In the frenzy of the charged atmosphere in the church like never before, Mr Kalu Ijomah officially announced to the congregation of his intention to contest for the governorship seat of Abia state in 2023.

Speaking further, he swore to make “a difference” and to “return Abia state to God” if he is supported to become the governor of the state.

The servant-leader thanked the church for honouring him, and for the ongoing success in their fundraising service. He promised to contribute towards the financial needs of the church in furtherance of the word and expansion of God’s kingdom.

The church expressed joy for his fellowshipping with brethren, stating that it was a step in the right direction to seek God first on every human endeavour as that is the only way to attract the hand of God in our pursuit.

Other notable groups that accompanied him to the auspicious glory service includes Ijeoma Abia Foundation, Ijeoma Reality Organisation, God’s Own Foundation, friends, wellwishers and other notable groups in Abia state.

Kalu Ijomah Ukeh is poised to redeem Abia state from the shackles of mismanagement of public funds, misrepresentationn, poor leadership and other bittered economic hardship being witnessed in the state.
