National Leader of a pressure group, the Initiative for Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN) Prophet Isa El-Buba has Advocated for Southern President in Nigeria come 2023 for the sake of equity to all concerned in the Nigeria Project.
Prophet El-Buba in an interview with newsmen in Jos on Thursday, said the current President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari a Muslim is from from the north and by 2023, will complete his two terms in office, and such, morally speaking, a Christian South should be supported to become the next President of Nigeria come 2023.
According to Prophet El-Buba, the President to be from the southern part of this country should be a leader that will go into politics because of what he can do for the people of this country, not just a politician whose quest to go into politics is for selfish pursuits.
According to him, people of like minds are already working round the clock to make sure, those that who will be voted into power in Nigeria in 2023, are people that have what it takes to represent the interest of the people of Nigeria at all levels of government as from 2023 onward.
El-Buba who is also the Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria commended National Assembly lawmakers for making it right this time around with the recommendation of Direct primaries to President Buhari to sign it into law ahead of the 2023 general election.
He stressed that the argument s Of APC Governors against direct primaries are nothing but fears of losing grip of the system in their states to the peoples choice in the
states.
According to him, the fact still remains that the people should be given the right to decide who becomes their candidates not just for a few people to sit somewhere at Government Houses or private houses to decide the faith of the majority, he stressed.
