While addressing huge, massive rallies that have gathered in a Kapchorwa football field today, NUP candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) rallied supporters to vote in masses, and urged them to stay at the polls to count the votes. They should do so, if they do not want to see their votes rigged!
Bobi Wine who tackled a number of sectors that need overhaul or change in the country, said that the ability to effect the required changes in Ugandan (and especially by Kapchorwa’s people) lies in the hands of Ugandans. It can only come into force on election day, Kyagulanyi stressed.
That day the people of Uganda, and of Kapchorwa, will decide to oust dictator Museveni by the powers given to them by the constitution. “Please don’t say we are too many, so even if I stay home we can win! No, please vote, every vote counts!” Kyagulanyi urged, adding: “and after voting please don’t leave the polling station. Stay there and let us count our votes together. For the first time, I want to assure you that we are going to turn these politicians into our servants. You will take charge of your country and you will be proud of being called Ugandans!”
Bobi Wine urged the youngsters present to take the future of Uganda in their own hands, like has been the case in countries like France, Germany, Tunisia, and others whose revolutions were occasioned by the youngest generation.
“We have a duty as younger generation, what we do today shall determine what will happen in the next 20 years,” said the most popular candidate.
Before departing Kapchorwa, Wine took a minute to honor the life, and sudden death of Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata who died today at Kampala International Hospital.
