The Member representing Ohafia North State Constituency at the Abia state House of Assembly, Hon. Mandela Egwuronu Obasi is set to distribute the second phase of palliative food items to his constituents.

The lawmaker disclosed this in a phone conversation with OTVNews correspondent this afternoon,

He said, “I will once again to distribute food items and cash to my people tomorrow being 30th April, 2020 just as I promised them the day I distributed the first set of food items and cash. You know this lockdown has lingered so it will be good for me to always provide palliative food items to my wonderful people from time to time until this lockdown is lifted”

Recall that on the 3rd of April, 2020 the House member distributed 30 bags of 50kg rice, 300 bottles of 60ml alcohol based hand sanitizer and cash of Five hundred thousand naira (N500,000.00) to be shared among the two communities that make up his constituency.
Also, Two hundred thousand naira (N200,000.00) which he personally went round the seventeen communities in Abiriba to share to selected indigent women at their various compounds.

Mandela went ahead to state that this phase will be bigger and that the mode of distribution will be directly to the seventeen villages in Abiriba and Eight villages in Nkporo communities through their various Eze Ogos. This is to make sure it gets to everyone targeted to receive the items.
