In a significant development, Comrade Chidi Asonye, Vice Chairman of the Abia State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has been elected as a member of the National Credentials Committee for the upcoming NUJ Triennial Delegates Conference.

With over 35 years of experience as a practicing journalist, Comrade Asonye brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the committee. His distinguished career spans various roles, including reporter, correspondent, acting editor, managing editor, editor-in-chief, and currently, news editor with ZikFm 96.3 Umuahia and editor-in-chief of ParrotNews Online Newspaper.

As a member of the National Credentials Committee, Comrade Asonye will play a crucial role in screening candidates and ensuring a free, fair, and credible election that will usher in a new administration at the National Secretariat of the NUJ.
