Like a patriotic citizen and a lone voice, a concerned party faithful and as a member committed to only efforts that will improve the fortunes of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dr Kalu, has remained relentless in reiterating the need for the party to go back to her drawing board if it hope to make headway in 2023.

The National Coordinator of PDP Coalition, has emphasized on the need for stakeholders of the party to brace up and face themselves as it is the only way to make impression as one United Big Family. He said these are realities that cannot be wished away or treated with levity as there lies the fortunes of the party – UNITY.

In press statement he personally signed and made available to the press, Chief Dr Emeka Kalu, who is also the DG of Global Initiative For Good Governance, GIGG, spoke on the needs to fix the internal working structure of the party if PDP plan to get power back come 2023. He said that all stakeholders, including current Governors, Ex Governors, Ex presidents, all and sundry, must come together in one accord and agree that we must have one voice and speak in one purpose driven language to achieve victory in 2023.

He motivated the party members of the need to swallow every overbloated egos in the interest of the party as pride and internal power struggle premised on arrogance and greed must be put paid to.

“We must work together for interest of our great Country and our party because we do not have any other country we can call ours but Nigeria.

“To win elections in 2023, we have to grow one voice, we need to take away pride, we need to collectively agree on decisions to make it work because a house that is divided among itself will never stand. United we stand, but divided we fall. We must get it right this time arround for the sake of the next generation whose fate are hanging in the balance as a result of our own omission and commission.

“It is sad to acknowledge that we just lost an election that was supposed to be won in a snap of our fingers, but the paramount issue of unity and agreement cost us the golden voyage, it was the case since 2015. They say once beaten is twice shy. The question now is how many times must we be beaten before we become shy?

“Court system is never an encouraging option because it will only take more funds to reclaim power when we could have done the right thing from the begening and don’t create room for court system. Besides the process is always a 50-50 gamble.

“I am calling on our great party stakeholders to learn from our past experiences, fix our house and march to 2023 with the right motivation, elevated courage, enthusiasm and candor desirous of a victorious party.”
