Today, Elu Ohafia Youths Embarked On Mass Community Sanitation.

“Cleanliness they say, is next to Godliness”, that is why today, the leadership of Elu Ohafia Youths, lead by Mr. Chika, Organized Elu Ohafia Youths to make proper and all round cleanup of the entire community in a drive to keep the environment friendly.

According to the leader, the cleanup exercise was necessitated as a result of the need to combat the speedy growth of grasses in the environment due to the raining season, as well as the drainage parts that has been filled up with sand, causing blockage of free waterflow that pushes water to find another routes for escape, thereby causing bad erosions within the community.

During the exercise, the Youths moved around the community, gutting down grasses, digging out sand from drianage parts, filling/repairing some part of the road affected by erosion and making the community look healthier for Elu Ohafia.

The cleaning exercise had no bound and exemptions as every youth in the community partook in it even church youths. Several Church Youth leaders and their administrative body were present.

Speaking with OHAFIA-TV News correspondence: The Youth Leader of Full Deliverance Gospel Church Inc. Pst Obinna Uguru, said
“it is the duty of every believer to take responsibility. The work of community is also a work of the church, nobody should see community service as having nothing to do with church, but we all should embrace cleanliness which is next to Godliness”.

He further charged other Church Youth leaders to get their members involved in community service, as he and his members are enjoying the exercise.

The height of the cleanup was graced with the presence of the President General of Elu Youth Development Union and Former Commissioner of Transportation, Chief Kingsley Eke Imaga. In his words, “The essence of this clean up is to make the community covid-19, malaria and sickness free”.

He was delighted in the move of the Youths to make sure the community was clean and aplauded their moves.

The Elu Youth President Mr. Chika, said that the youth decided to clean up the community to make it healthier for living, productive in business and conduvice for the aged.

“It can be visibly seen that the community youths are moving in the right directions and will certainly earn the deserved blessings”.

Sereveral Students Union Leaders, Compound leaders, Religious leaders, Businessmen were all present to support the exercise.
