Abuja, 9 May 2025 – The Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Barr. Hannatu Musa Musawa, brought national honour and cultural depth to the 2025 edition of the renowned Ojude-Oba Festival in Ijebu-Ode, celebrating Nigeria’s living heritage through a rich display of tradition, beauty, and unity.
Participating in the revered royal procession and engaging with traditional leaders and cultural custodians, the Honourable Minister affirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to elevating Nigeria’s cultural festivals as powerful instruments for national pride, tourism growth, and creative economy expansion.

In her remarks, the Honourable Minister reflected on the essence of the festival:
“Ojude-Oba is not only a tribute to our ancestors but a bridge to our collective future. In every procession, every drumbeat, and every dance step lies the spirit of a people bound by dignity, beauty, and resilience. It is through festivals like this that we tell our story to the world, with pride and purpose.”
The Ojude-Oba Festival, widely respected as one of Africa’s most captivating cultural gatherings, continues to draw global attention for its vibrancy and historical significance. With this year’s event attracting visitors from within Nigeria and the diaspora, it has evolved into a flagship celebration that connects culture with commerce, identity, and innovation.

• His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, CON, Executive Governor of Ogun State
• Dare Alebiosu, Chairman, Ijebu-Ode Local Government
• Valentine Ozigbo, Chairman, Feet ‘N’ Tricks
• Dr. Lai Labode, Founder and CEO, Cashtoken
• Hon. Aisha Adamu Augie, Director-General, Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBAAC)
The presence of these leaders amplified the festival’s growing international appeal and echoed the values behind the Ministry’s flagship campaign, Motherland 2025, which aims to reconnect the Nigerian diaspora with their roots through immersive cultural experiences.

- In honouring the Awujale, His Royal Majesty Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the Minister joined the grand royal procession alongside traditional chiefs, among others.

This visit forms part of the broader Destination 2030: Nigeria Everywhere strategy under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
