The Kaduna police command has successfully captured Yusuf Abdullahi, a 22-year-old gangster known as “malam Y’M,” in the Danmagaji area of Zaria LGA. Abdullahi, hailing from Kofan Kibo in Zaria LGA, was apprehended during a routine patrol on Monday at around 1430hrs.

The police command’s spokeswoman, ASP Mansir Hassan, confirmed Abdullahi’s detention and said he is well-known for stealing phones and forcibly taking away people’s possessions from the streets. At the time of his arrest, the suspect—who had been placed on the police wanted list—was discovered to be in possession of potentially hazardous weapons.

Prior to Yusuf Abdullahi’s court appearance for prosecution, investigations are still ongoing. In order to make sure that this infamous phone snatcher is held accountable for his misdeeds, the police are resolved to stop his operations.
