The convener of Global Initiative for Good Governance, GIGG, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, has reiterated the need for leaders and affluent citizens to prioritize the welfare of widows, motherless individuals, physically challenged people, and handicapped people among us because that is the only way they can feel like they belong and not feel abandoned by the society because their condition was not a result of their choice.
The USA-based businessman and astute politician made this statement while responding to OHAFIATV News questions regarding his political focus beyond 2023, stating that in the nearest future, he will begin to unveil positive plans that will address the situation of the members of our society who are challenged by circumstances of life against their will.
“It is high time we pay good attention to the vulnerable members of our society who needs our help. We have been too preoccupied with our pursuit that we pay little or no attention to the people that need it the most. Our society is constantly changing and it is not for the better. It is biting hard on working class and average citizens, this simply means that it will bite harder on them.
“Our youths are not employed which keeps increasing the social vices in our society. This should be a cause for concern for every well-meaning Nigerians and why we must act fast to arrest the situation.
“That this is a task that every prosperous citizen must undertake, not only for political or religious purposes but also as a duty to humanity and thanksgiving to God who showed us grace,” he added.
