The Psalmist in the Holy Book dropped this poser: “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3). This has been the lot of Abia State since creation in 1991, the enemy sowed tares while the farmer slept, her foundation was laid on faulty topography of idolatry while the believers slept, as a result, her fate has been a negative reflection of her supposed glory. But there is an end to every affliction.

In 2023, the year of significant changes in the political atmosphere of Abia State, an era of reflection on what has been the journey of the state due to the political apathy of the church who, though they command great fellowship to determine the outcome of elections, rather preferred to be aloof in the process of choosing leaders, yet end up being affected by the wrong leaders chosen by others that do not consider their interests.
Larry J. Sabato opined that every election is determined by the few people who show up. A reality the church has come to address to be counted in the process of shaping their destiny.

Abia Christian Community, ACC in 2023 took a bold step to arrest the decadence created by mis-governance in Abia State. They prayed, anointed, and adopted candidates in Abia State from Gubernatorial to Senate to the House of Assembly from across the political parties. In other words, all the candidates are not from NNPP. They called them CARPENTERS who, like in the days of biblical Nehemiah, will rebuild the ruined walls of Abia State.

OHAFIATV News recalls that the ACC had In a short message made available to the press, revealed that: On Friday, 2nd December 2022, ACC will formally present to Ndi Abia, Dr. Ukpai Iro Ukpai of NNPP who they adopted as their Governorship Candidate, and call David of Abia State, and other candidates running for House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate (all carefully selected and adopted by ACC from across political parties in Abia State).

This is significant, a sign that the God of God’s own State has remembered Abia State and is come to deliver her from bondage and set a Godly foundation. The glory must surely return when the foundation is made right.

With this, Abians should quickly embrace what God has done through ACC and vote for these men and women so Abians will start enjoying good governance.
