In keeping with the mandate of Action Democratic Party, ADP, to revive the education sector when elected into power in 2023, the duo of Engr Yebaji Yusuf Sani, the Presidential candidate, and his running mate, Dr. Okey Udo, two seasoned educationist and proponents of qualitative education, have continued to lay the solid foundation for the right take-off of the new drastic revolution that will hit the education sector in Nigeria under their watch and trusted leadership.
Recall, OHAFIATV News recently reported that Dr. Okey Udo, who is also a prolific writer, donated 114 copies of his newly published book’ ‘Great nation in Bewilderment’ to the National Library, FCT Chapter, saying that the donation was also on behalf of his party, the ADP who’s party logo has a hand holding a book. A symbol of their commitment to the growth and development of education in Nigeria to the desired state.
According to him, “the hand holding a book as our party logo is premised on the belief that development of any nation is organic and it is embedded on sound educational enhancement”.
In a similar step, Dr. Okey Udo has put smiles on the faces of indigent students and the educationally disadvantaged children in the Kuje area of Abuja as a sign of their commitment and dedication to this sensitive sector that will play the biggest role in revamping other sectors, because ADP believes that when you have more educated people, governance will become an easier task for both the leaders and the led.
“I visited Government secondary school, Kuje to mark my wife’s birthday. I gave scholarships to those students who are orphaned and less privileged. This is in line with my craving for education for all, no child is left behind. No consideration of the ethnic, religious, or regional alliance. This is the value our party represents, this is the value Engr Y. Y. Sani and myself will build on, education for all.
“I set up the Udo Chia foundation to reach out to such less privileged and to grant vocational training for uplifting the youths in entrepreneurial excellence”, his statement concludes.
This is one out of many gestures of the youthful Vice Presidential Candidate and his agile and equally young Presidential candidate, Engr Y. Y. SANI.
In their coinage from their names, both believe it will be OKEY to SANI-tize Nigeria with intellectual and capacity-driven leadership, the sort that both of them are eagerly out to give to Nigerians in 2023.
