Addressing the Abia State PDP Excos led by Chief Johnson Onuigbo, his entourage and other PDP faithfuls in Arochukwu LGA during the one day visit/project tour embarked by the Abia PDP leaders, Hon. Uko Nkole in his submission said he had earlier influenced the return to site of the contractor handling the Arochukwu-Ohafia-Abiriba federal road, Messers Beks Kimse Construction Ltd who are on site.

Equally, he attracted the award of contract for the reconstruction of Arochukwu/Ohafia bridge, (Omenuko Bridge) Igwu River which is awarded by the Federal Ministry of Works, Housing and Power to Messers HI-MANSION ALLIED SERVICES LTD at the sum of Two Hundred Million Naira only with the contract number: FMPWH(H)/PROC/4THMTB/2017/160/VOL. 1/1012.

According to the Federal lawmaker, he further said the scope of work is the construction of a brand new bridge of about 30 meters long and 8 meters wide to bring a new lease of life on the road users as all the necessary documentations has been concluded to enable the contractor resume work on Saturday 19th May, 2018.

Furthermore, on Sunday 13th May, 2018 , work started at the Construction site of Abiriba-Nkporo-Ohafia road facilitated by the erudite lawmaker with the scope of the project covering from Abiriba through Amurie-Etitiama-Elughu Nkporo-Nguzu Junction, Ohafia.

In the same vein, Hon. Nkole hinted that he has received a call from the Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA for the rehabilitation of Umuahia-Bende-Ohafia federal road as they will soon mobilise to site.

In addition, Hon. Uko said within two years in office, he has given more than 120 federal civil service jobs to graduates from his constituency including in the Military- Navy, Army, Air force etc.

He also told the PDP state excos that in due time, he will take them on a tour to all his project sites as his administration has embarked on projects in all the wards in Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency with his vision of one village, one project.

Also speaking, the senator representing Abia North Senatorial Zone, Sen. MAO Ohuabunwa acknowledged the doggedness, developmental projects and laudable achievements of Hon. Uko Nkole as he urged him to continue in his bid to transform his constituency.
