The ACCORD candidate for Abia 2023 governorship election, Bishop Dr. Emeka Michael Nwankpa, has encouraged his teeming supporters to stay true to the cause of rescuing Abia State at the polls as the challenges being faced by the people today due to fuel and money scarcity are a phase in the life of Nigerians that will pass like any other phase bad leadership has put us in the past.
He made this call through his ASSURED media team after the cancelation of the party’s proposed campaign flag-off a few days back, due to CBN money redesign and cashless policy that has brought untold hardship to the people when they were already battling with negative effects of the recession and hardship of a fading economy of Nigeria.
Recall that the renowned clergyman and senior pastor had scheduled 11th February 2023 for a state-of-the-art campaign flag-off in Aba, but the coveted event was frustrated by the challenge of assessing funds needed for logistics and other sundry planning activities. He assured that notwithstanding the setback, a new date will be announced as plans are still in top gear to confirm and announce a new date for the August event.
Bishop Nwankpa is a candidate that is riding on the goodwill and support of the people to usher in a people-oriented leadership that will perfectly hand power back to the masses. He is a man of the pulpit without baggage and godfathers but has offered himself in service to the people because he is pained by the level of decadence, maladministration, and impunity that has eaten deep into the fabric of Abia politics. He seeks to change that and rescue the state.
